B5441 Deep Waters of Creation, Crisis, and Hope: Hebrew-based Exegesis

This course explores the multifaceted role of water imagery across diverse Old Testament genres and traditions. Through guided translation and close reading, students examine water as a site of life-giving creation, chaotic destruction, judgment, deliverance, and renewal. The course strengthens Hebrew reading skills and equips students to interpret texts for ministries shaped by conflict, ecological crisis, grief, and communal transition. Prerequisite is B5050 Introductory Biblical Hebrew.
